Two San Diego men were indicted Wednesday on a charge that they robbed a University Avenue bank at gunpoint July 1, said U.S. Atty. Peter K. Nunez.
An anonymous tip led FBI agents to Clyde Thompson, 28, who was arrested Aug. 16.
A search of his home turned up about $6,500 of the money stolen from the Security Pacific Bank, Nunez said.
The second defendant, Norris D. Johnson, 26, was arrested Aug. 21 after a search.
Both men, who are being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, have been charged with bank robbery.
