A suit by 18-year-old Jennifer Jones to force her father to pay her way through college was dismissed by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert H. O’Brien, who concluded that she did not fit the legal definition of a person in need and unable to maintain herself by work. Jones, the daughter of divorced parents, filed her “dadimony” suit last March while a senior at Westchester High School. She complained that her father, Jimmy Jones, stopped paying support when she reached 18 and had reneged on a promise to pay her college expenses if she got good grades.
