Buena 28, Royal 20 : KEY PLAYS

After an interception at the Buena 26-yard line in the thirdquarter, Bulldogs’ running back Mike Mollinado ran for 18, 11 and seven yards on successive plays to set up a Buena touchdown that put the Bulldogs in front, 15-6. On the ensuing Royal possession, Buena again intercepted a Highlander pass and drove in for the score that broke the game open, 22-6.

KEY PLAYERS

Quarterback Jerry Dunlap (B) was 15 for 27 for 205 yardsand three touchdowns. Quarterback Shawn Christensen (R) answered with 17 for 32 for 296 yards and two touchdowns but surrendered two interceptions. Receiver Ralph Blanks (R) caught three passes for 113 yards, including an 85-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Defensive backs Kevin French and David Hester (B) had one interception each.
