The San Francisco Giants will have a new manager and general manager by midweek, according to a statement attributed to Tom Haller, current general manager, in Sunday’s San Francisco Examiner.
There will be a news conference in San Francisco on Wednesday to announce the changes, Haller said in Atlanta. Haller, who has been general manager four seasons, also was quoted as saying he won’t be the man replacing Manager Jim Davenport.
