The Peabody-Pullman merger cleared a hurdle.

Financier Victor Posner agreed to settle all legal claims regarding the previously reported merger, which will join Peabody International with Pullman, a maker of aircraft seating and food service systems. Posner, through several companies that he controls, at one point held a 38.5% stake in Peabody, but he agreed to sell his 4 million shares back to Peabody for $5.6 million. The deal calls for Posner to drop all litigation and buy no further shares in the company.
