A federal jury today convicted Robert McCue on 7 of 13 counts of selling cocaine to ex-Pirates Dale Berra and John Milner between June, 1983, and January of this year.

The jury of 10 women and 2 men deliberated 11 1/2 hours before returning its verdict against McCue, 38, who faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $25,000 fine on each of the seven counts. The conviction on the eighth day of baseball’s second drug trial came just six days after another jury in the same courthouse convicted Philadelphia caterer Curtis Strong on 11 of 14 drug trafficking counts.
