BATH, Me. —
Bath Iron Works and its striking 4,500-member shipbuilders’ union reached agreement to end a three-month strike after an all-night bargaining session, the company said today.
A spokesman for Bath, one of the nation’s largest defense contractors, said union members probably will vote on the contract Sunday. No details of the agreement were released. The company had been seeking a concessionary contract including a wage freeze and cuts in fringe benefits.
