Couple Plead Guilty to Smuggling Aliens
A San Dimas couple pleaded guilty Thursday in Los Angeles federal court to charges that they smuggled Polish citizens into the United States.
Walter Zlotnicki, a U.S. citizen, and his wife, Maria Margaret, a resident alien from Poland, entered the pleas before U.S. District Judge Harry Hupp, who set sentencing for Nov. 18.
Assistant U.S. Atty. David Nimmer said about a dozen Poles were illegally brought into the country via Mexico and other nations.
