Burn CARE International will wrap up its Burn Awareness Week today with a free education program for youngsters 18 months to 18 years old.

The program, aimed at teaching youngsters to protect themselves from burns, will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the center court at the Topanga Plaza shopping center in Woodland Hills.

Burn CARE is a new, Washington-based organization formed to assist burn victims, do research and conduct education programs. Burn Awareness Week is the group’s pilot project in Los Angeles. The organization expects to stage similar events nationwide in February.
