The American League announced game times for makeup and playoff games, should they be necessary to determine division championships.
Should the Angels and Kansas City Royals be tied for the West Division title when the regular season ends Sunday, there will be a playoff game Monday at Kansas City at noon (PDT).
Should the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays tie in the East Division, the clubs will have to make up games postponed during the regular season. In that case, the Blue Jays will play host to the Baltimore Orioles on Monday, and the Yankees will entertain the Detroit Tigers.
If the teams are still tied after those games, a one-game playoff will be held Tuesday night at Toronto, forcing the American League to alter the dates of the league’s championship series, scheduled to begin that day.
