Question: What was probably the only movie Clark Gable ever made for Warner Bros.?

Answer: “Night Nurse,” a mystery filmed in 1931. (No, he didn’t play the title role--that was Barbara Stanwyck.)

It’s part of the Vagabond Theatre’s series of Warners classics running Oct. 20-Nov. 16, which will unveil new 35-millimeter prints (from MGM/UA Classics) of such seldom-seen titles as “Kennel Murder Case,” “Slight Case of Murder,” “Three Strangers,” “Blues in the Night,” “The Man I Love,” “Deception,” “A Stolen Life,” “Go Into Your Dance,” “The Crowd Roars,” “Ladies They Talk About,” “Devotion” and “Manpower.”

“Some haven’t been shown in theaters in 40 years,” said Vagabond owner Tom Cooper. “MGM/UA (which bought the Warners library) struck new prints of the rarer films from the original nitrate negatives. Even the films that have been shown a lot will be in 35mm and should be beautiful.”
