Waste Not Joanne Fradkin doesn’t want you to throw away your makeup palette when it’s only half used. So she makes customized kits at her Pigments Cosmetics boutique in Beverly Hills, packing each with six powdered colors, a makeup brush and a set of personalized instructions for your eyes--and for your cheeks--only. (The purse-size palette sells for $28.) Kit or no kit, Fradkin suggests experimenting more with the makeup you already own--contouring your lids with a peach blush, perhaps, or highlighting your cheeks with a pink eye shadow. More Is More “There’s a whole school now that says scent must be faint. This is ridiculous. . . . Napoleon’s valet, I’m told, every morning, took literally a whole bottle of scent, L’Eau Imperiale--one of those divine Napoleonic flacons with bees all over it--and poured it right down the emperor’s body.
