Long Beach Beats Irvine in Volleyball
Cal State Long Beach defeated UC Irvine, 15-12, 9-15, 15-8, 15-9, in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. volleyball game in Crawford Hall Thursday.
The 49ers were led by Stacey Peoples who had 20 kills and Connie Watson, who had 16. CSULB improved its conference record to 2-4.
Irvine was led by Cindy Rohrig who had 14 kills, and freshman Allison Zumwalt added eight. UC Irvine is 0-3 in PCAA play.
The Anteaters play the University Nevada Las Vegas, tonight at 7:30 in Crawford Hall.
