In closed session, the City Council unanimously approved the appointment of James Lough of the Los Angeles law firm of Ochoa & Sillas as Hermosa Beach city attorney, according to Mayor Jack Wood. Lough was appointed Jan. 1 for a one-year trial period to succeed Charles Post. Wood said Lough’s term is indefinite.
