Detroit Shooting Toll for Teen-Agers Hits 24

DETROIT —
A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Friday in the third straight outburst of gunfire in Detroit involving a dispute between teen-agers at the end of the school week, police said. The killing raised the year’s shooting death toll for Detroit teen-agers to 24.
Friday’s victim, Dion Petties, was shot in the head while arguing with a group of boys. He was dead on arrival at Mt. Carmel Hospital, police said. No suspects were arrested.
