Emergency Services Set for Grand Prix Nov. 3
Elaborate emergency services have been established for the first ever Australian Formula One Grand Prix race on Nov. 3.
A fleet of turbo-charged coupes will be placed around the 2.35 mile street course to rush rescue workers to the scene of any accident.
Lifesaving hand-held and mobile fire-fighting equipment will be located at 50 meter intervals at trackside, along with more than 600 fire extinguishers.
Officials are determined that the race, on what has been rated one of the world’s fastest circuits, should not be marred by a disaster.
