Force Has Yet to Protest Sunday Loss to Sockers
On Sunday night, the Sockers defeated the Cleveland Force, 8-6, in a game the Force said it would protest because of a number of controversial officiating calls in the second quarter.
As of Monday afternoon, San Diego’s win was still a win.
James Budish, the Major Indoor Soccer League director of operations, said the league had not yet received an official notice of protest from the Force. The protesting team must send the league office a letter stating its claim and $500.
Budish said the league will review films of the game and deal with the protest if and when it is officially filed.
