First, It Was the Irish; Now, Tollner Takes a Beating From Fans

USC bit the dust ignominiously at Notre Dame and, please, let’s hear no more concerning “student body left and student body right.” In crunch situations, the Trojan offense was positively offensive and the entire team effort was most inoffensive.

The victory was poetic justice for the Irish and in some measure, at least, made up for the multiple jobbings they’ve received at the Coliseum by the working zebra crew. Notre Dame played with pride and dedication, and their resounding victory is testimony to squad determination in the face of constant media criticism and ridicule.
