Today is election day in Orange County, and voters will cast ballots in 1,201 polling places throughout the county.

- What: Community college and school board trustee seats will be filled in every locality. Some communities also have non-education issues on today’s ballots.

- When: Polling places are open today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

- Where: Anyone wanting information on where to vote can call the registrar of voters at 834-2244 or obtain information in person at the registrar’s office, Building C, 1300 S. Grand Ave., Santa Ana.

- How: A new voting device will be used in Orange County today. Precinct workers will give instructions on how to use the new system.

- Bilingual ballots: Bilingual ballots are no longer used, but Spanish-speaking voters will find a facsimile ballot in each polling place. These facsimiles contain a Spanish translation of the instructions and measures.

- Recently moved: Previously registered voters who have moved from one address to another in Orange County since Oct. 7, when registration books closed for this election, may return to their old voting place to cast their ballots today.
