A measure making it unlawful to fire AIDS victims, evict them or discriminate against them in public accommodations was unanimously approved by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. The proposed law, which must pass a final vote next week and be signed by Mayor Dianne Feinstein, is modeled after legislation in Los Angeles and West Hollywood. It would not regulate such activities in public schools and colleges, where the state has jurisdiction.
