Child Services Head Named

Robert L. Chaffee, interim head of the fledgling Los Angeles County Children’s Services Department for the last seven months, was named permanent director today by the Board of Supervisors. Chaffee succeeds Lola Hobbs, who resigned under pressure last April 11 following months of battles with the Children’s Services Commission.
