Oceanside
E. H. Theodore Ritz has been appointed interim city treasurer by the Oceanside City Council, filling the post vacated by the death last week of Marvin Bledsoe.
Ritz, 67, was the treasurer from 1976 to 1984, when he retired. He will manage the city’s investments for 30 days while the council interviews applicants for the post.
A permanent appointment will be made early next month, city officials said.
