Overcrossing on Agenda The City Council will consider a resolution Tuesday night regarding the construction of a vehicular overcrossing at Yale Avenue and the San Diego Freeway. The Yale overcrossing, city officials say, would improve the linkage between Irvine’s central villages, Woodbridge and University Park, and minimize the dependence on Culver Drive and Jeffrey Road. Advocates say that the overcrossing would also provide enhanced access to both the schools and library in University Park--now used by the Woodbridge residents--as well as increase response time for emergency service access.
