Man Shooting at Snake Sets Off Dynamite, Dies

GREENWOOD, Miss. —
A 39-year-old man trying to shoot a snake in a shed accidentally detonated a case of dynamite and was killed, officials say.
The Leflore County Sheriff’s Department said that Edwin Turner, of Carroll County, died in the blast Tuesday and his shed was demolished. Authorities said he used the dynamite to break up beaver dams in nearby streams.
