California League Team Moving to Palm Springs

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. —
The Redwood Pioneers of the Class A California League, who won the league title in 1983 but lost more than $233,000 while playing for six years in this town north of San Francisco, have been sold and will move to Palm Springs.
John Lovell of Metropolitan Theatres Inc. of Palm Springs said Wednesday the sale was completed with Pioneer co-owner Sally Holshouer.
