Council Tables Ordinance Talks
The Santa Monica City Council has tabled discussion of an ordinance that would allow certain Main Street establishments to implement a cover charge for dancing.
Council members asked the city staff to present additional information about the size and purpose of establishments that would be allowed to charge patrons for admission under the plan, which was supported by council members David G. Epstein and James P. Conn.
