The Salvation Army is seeking donations to fund a Thanksgiving feast for as many as 2,000 people.
The dinner will be served at 11:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day in Golden Hall, 202 C Street.
“We have been blessed with a tremendous number of volunteers, but donations are welcome,” said Charles Hansen, a spokesman for the Salvation Army.
Checks marked “holiday meals” can be sent to the Salvation Army, 825 7th Ave.
The San Diego Rescue Mission will serve a turkey dinner on Nov. 27, the day before Thanksgiving, at its new quarters at 1150 J St.
Donations of food and money will be accepted at the new location for the 1 p.m. meal, coordinators said.
