Costa Mesa
Police Identify Body: Police on Thursday identified the woman whose body was found in a Costa Mesa trash bin Wednesday as Linda Gomez Rodriguez, 24, of Santa Ana, but an autopsy failed to determine the cause of death. Police Lt. Jack Calnon said the autopsy revealed no injury caused by shooting, stabbing or blows. The cause of death will not be determined until toxicological tests are completed, which take from 10 to 14 days, Calnon said. Rodriguez’s body was found in a trash bin in a commercial area near the airport by a man rummaging through the trash, police said. The investigation is continuing.
