UCLA Plays Host to Cal in Soccer Tournament
UCLA’s soccer team, sporting a national ranking and a record of 15-1-4, will play Cal (16-4-1) in the first round of the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. tournament Sunday at 2 p.m. on UCLA’s North Athletic Soccer Field. The Bruins were semifinalists in the NCAA tournament last season.
UCLA has just regained the No. 2 spot in the coaches’ poll as a result of a seven-game winning streak. Evansville, which is undefeated, is ranked No. 1.
In the other Far West regional, No. 8 Nevada Las Vegas (17-1-2) will play host to No. 14 Fresno State (17-4-1) Sunday night.
