Project Self-Esteem and Students

Share

The authors and supporters of Project Self-Esteem should see one very obvious point about the objections to the program and the changes leading to the “evolution” of PSE as it is today:

That is, for eight years a psychological “experiment” was conducted on the children of Orange County without informed parental consent.

This “experiment” actually taught children from second through sixth grade to seek an altered state of consciousness (meditation) when in a stressful situation. While purporting to be a drug- and alcohol-buse program, it actually taught a “crutch” rather than how to deal in the natural state with problems. Who can gauge the mental damage to the children of Orange County over the past eight years?

At Castille School in Mission Viejo, every child who participated (600) in 1984-85 lost 12 hours of math instruction. That’s 7,200 hours of basic, academic learning!

Now, Peggy Bielen and Sandy Spurgeon-McDaniel are publishing a book for profit, and they have used our children to accomplish their purposes.

Where do I get permission to rob the taxpayers, parents and children so I can implement a program, experiment until I get it right, then go sell it nationwide? How did these women receive such favor?
