He walked with a stoop and had dark circles under his eyes, but his dark blue uniform and gun belt helped the man, who was impersonating an armored car guard, pull off a $100,000 heist in San Bruno, police said. Sears Roebuck and Co. store employees at the Tanforan Park Shopping Center south of San Francisco said the theft occurred just 15 minutes before the legitimate Armored Transport courier arrived to pick up the already collected weekend receipts. Terry Meyer, San Francisco district manager for Armored Transport, said the thief had to be familiar with official guard procedures. Police said they have no leads.
