Pincay Rides Time For A Slam to Victory
Time For A Slam rallied through the stretch and won the $25,000 feature race Wednesday at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by Laffit Pincay, Time For A Slam drew off in the last 70 yards to finish 1 lengths in front of Gormley, ridden by Rafael Meza. Queen Of Bronze, ridden by Pat Valenzuela, was third, another two lengths back.
The 5-2 favorite, Sharp Ascent, tired in the stretch and finished fourth.
Time For A Slam, a 3-year-old daughter of Bold Bidder, was clocked in 1:40 4/5 for 1 1/16 miles over the turf course and paid $22.40, $13.60 and $8. Gormley returned $8.20 and $4.40, and Queen Of Bronze paid $4 to show.
