Pete Vuckovich, a former Cy Young Award winner hampered by injuries, will test the free-agent market by refusing an offer to pitch for the Milwaukee Brewers’ Vancouver farm club, the American League team said.
The 33-year-old Vuckovich, who has had shoulder surgery twice in the past two years, was 6-10 with a 5.51 earned-run average in 22 games last season.
