Snow and Katzaroff Share Empire Honor

Los Alamitos quarterback J.T. Snow and receiver Robby Katzaroff, who led the Griffins to a share of their first league championship in nine years, have been named Offensive Co-Players of the Year by the coaches of the Empire League.

Snow, a 6-foot 2-inch, 180-pound senior, has passed for 1,705 yards and 24 touchdowns. Katzaroff, a 5-9, 165-pound senior, set the county single-season receiving record last week with a total of 83 catches for 1,296 yards.

Bill Hardesty, a 6-0, 190-pound linebacker and fullback for co-champion Pacifica, was named Defensive Player of the Year.

El Dorado’s Jeff Petredes, a 6-2, 220-pound senior tackle, was named Offensive Lineman of the Year, while Chris Wright of Loara, a 5-11, 180-pound running back and linebacker, was named Defensive Lineman of the Year.
