Torrance : Depot Project Hearing
A public hearing will be held on Dec. 17 to discuss the City Council’s intent to vacate part of an intersection near the former Southern Pacific Railway depot for restoration of the depot by private developers as commercial and office space.
Jones & Capellino Co., a joint partnership of the John Jones Co. and Capellino & Associates, hopes to restore the dilapidated 3,500-square-foot historical structure at an awkward intersection of Torrance Boulevard, 213th Street and Cabrillo Avenue.
Jones &d; Capellino Co.’s purchase and restoration of the depot is contingent on city approval of the project.
