GRANTS AWARDED FOR FILM STUDIES

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has awarded a total of $55,000 in grants and scholarships to seven institutions in support of film study, including four overseas organizations. Chief beneficiary is the American Film Institute, which will receive $30,000.
Other recipients include the Beijing Film Academy in the People’s Republic of China, Bezalel’s Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, and the Anthology Film Archives in New York. Each will receive $5,000.
