USC Tailback Is Lost to Kelly’s Metaphor

The Trojan victory could have marked the emergence of Ryan Knight as another in the long line of outstanding USC halfbacks. Alas, it is not to be. He was lost forever near the end of the game when, as Tom Kelly picturesquely announced, he “literally exploded” at the line of scrimmage.
