La Verne : College Papers Honored

Two University of La Verne campus publications, the Campus Times and La Verne Magazine, have received awards from the National Scholastic Press Assn. and Associated Collegiate Press, and the Columbia Scholastic Press Assn.

Judges from the Columbia Scholastic Press Assn. awarded first-place honors to the Campus Times, a newspaper published by the university’s journalism department. The paper also earned an “All American” rating for the eighth consecutive year from the National Scholastic Press Assn. and Associate Collegiate Press.

La Verne Magazine, a community publication also produced by the journalism department, received a “first-class” rating from the National Scholastic Press Assn. and Associate Collegiate Press.
