Packers Sign Ferragamo Through Next Season
Former Ram quarterback Vince Ferragamo, who was cut by the Buffalo Bills last week, signed a contract to play with the Green Bay Packers for the remainder of this season and all of next.
Packer Coach Forrest Gregg said Wednesday it was uncertain whether Ferragamo, who started the Bills’ first nine games this season, would play in either of Green Bay’s last two games.
Gregg said the Packers had been interested in Ferragamo for some time but hadn’t planned to make a move this season until contacted by Ferragamo’s agent.
Ferragamo, who will get a shot at succeeding Lynn Dickey, said he was “real excited about the move here. I’m real excited about the offense, because it is a high-powered offense that scores a lot of points.”
