Crutcher, Colorito to Undergo Surgery and Miss Aloha Bowl

USC running back Fred Crutcher and nose guard Tony Colorito will undergo surgery next week and will not play in the Aloha Bowl game Dec. 28 against Alabama at Honolulu.

Crutcher will have calcium deposits removed from his left shoulder, while Colorito will have an operation to repair a left ankle ligament injured in the game against Stanford.

Meanwhile, the Trojans announced that junior safety Tim McDonald had been chosen the team’s most valuable player for 1985. McDonald made 88 tackles, intercepted 4 passes and broke up a team-high 15 passes this season.
