The Chicago Bulls scored a 106-102 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday night after getting some bad news earlier in the day.

They learned that Michael Jordan, who has been sidelined since October with a broken foot, must remain in a cast an additional two weeks.

The cast was to have been taken off Thursday, but an examination revealed that the bone in the left foot hadn’t healed yet, according to Dr. John Hefferon, the team’s physician.

Even when the cast is removed, Jordan will not return to action immediately.

Against the 76ers, Sid Green scored a season-high 22 points, and Quintin Dailey and Orlando Woolridge added 18 each to lead the Bulls.

For the Bulls (9-17), it was only their third win in the last 11 games. The 76ers (12-11) lost for the first time in their last five road games. It was their third loss in eight games overall.

Washington 110, Milwaukee 108--At Landover, Md., Cliff Robinson’s 18-foot jump shot with one second left in overtime lifted the Bullets to their fourth straight victory.

Robinson, who finished with 21 points, took a pass from Frank Johnson and scored the uncontested game-winner from the right baseline.

In his first start, Washington’s 7-6 rookie center, Manute Bol, finished with 18 points and blocked a club-record 12 shots, including 11 in the first half. Craig Hodges scored 29 points for the Bucks.

New Jersey 108, New York 85--Buck Williams scored 10 of his 22 points and Mickey Johnson 8 of his 10 during a 32-15 second-half spurt that lifted the Nets to victory at New York.

Houston was trailing, 118-112, with 2:54 left but scored 10 straight points to take a 122-118 lead with 41 seconds left.

Dallas was led by Sam Perkins with a season-high 31 points and Jay Vincent with 25.

The Mavericks played without their leading scorer, Mark Aguirre--who was ill--and lost for the fourth time in their last five games.
