An 18-year-old Laguna Niguel woman was killed Saturday when she was ejected from a truck that veered off the Orange Freeway in Pomona and landed on its roof, the California Highway Patrol reported.
CHP Officer Robert Pike said the woman was a passenger in a truck driven by a 20-year-old Laguna Niguel man that drifted into the right shoulder at 2 a.m. and plunged down an embankment.
He said the truck landed on its roof on Pomona Boulevard. The man was taken to Pomona Valley Community Hospital where he was in critical condition.
