Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. and IBM-Japan announced the formation of a joint-venture telecommunications company to be headquartered in Tokyo. The $3-million firm--named Nippon Information & Communication Corp., which will be equally owned--will “conduct activities related to advanced information communications services and network systems,” the announcement said. It said the operations will include telecommunications network services, including the value-added network services, which enables non-compatible computers to communicate.
