Panorama City Woman Arrested in Slaying

A Panorama City woman was arrested Wednesday morning in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in a Sepulveda motel parking lot, Los Angeles police said.

The woman, Rosalind R. Mullen, 19, is being held without bail in Van Nuys Jail on suspicion of murder, Detective Mel Arnold said. Henry J. Jackson Jr., 29, of Pacoima was shot once in the upper body in the parking lot of the Redwood Inn Motel, 9111 Sepulveda Blvd., about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, Arnold said.

Mullen was taken into custody about 5 a.m. Wednesday at an apartment in Sepulveda, he said.

Jackson’s body was discovered next to two cars that had collided, and police are investigating the possibility that the shooting and collision were related, Arnold said.
