Victim of Stabbing Found Inside Van
Garden Grove police are investigating the stabbing of a Fountain Valley man who died from his wound shortly after a patrol officer discovered him about 3:40 a.m. Wednesday in the back of a van that pulled to a stop in the 12500 block of Sunswept Avenue, a police spokesman said.
The victim was identified as Scott Raymond Hall, 20.
Police Sgt. Bruce Beauchamp said the driver of the van told officers that he came upon the injured victim near the vicinity of an apartment complex on the 12600 block of Keel Street, one street to the north.
The driver, who said he stopped the van to check on the victim, was questioned, released and his name withheld while the investigation continues, Beauchamp said.
No weapon was recovered and police have not determined a motive in the killing, he said.
