Harry Usher, commissioner of the U.S. Football League, was in good condition at a Santa Monica hospital awaiting corrective bypass surgery for a heart ailment, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Usher, 46, was admitted Saturday to St. John’s Hospital and Health Center after he complained of chest pains. A hospital spokeswoman said Usher would remain in the hospital for observation until the surgery can be performed.
