Police have charged a third University of Washington football player with shoplifting, but Coach Don James said no players have been dropped from the squad as it practices for Monday’s Freedom Bowl in Anaheim.
Scott Jones, a reserve tight end, was charged in the Dec. 12 incident after a University Bookstore security guard picked him out of a football program. Backup safeties Steve Holzgraf and Keilan Matthews were charged earlier in connection with the shoplifting incident, in which police said a watch band, three shirts and a pair of pants were taken from the bookstore.
