Share

The City Council is seeking applicants to serve on the board of a recently created foundation that will look for new sources of revenue for the city’s recreational and cultural programs.

The council voted at its Nov. 19 meeting to create the nonprofit foundation, which will have nine members, including two each from the Recreation and Parks Commission and the Cultural Arts Commission. The remaining five members will be chosen by the City Council from the applicants.

Jim Soto, director of the Recreation and Human Services Department, said that Fullerton, Brea and Anaheim had established similar foundations.
