On Texas A&M;’s 45-yard line, Auburn quarterback Jeff Burger was scrambling and pushed something like a jump-shot pass to Jeff Parks, who converted it into a 23-yard gain. Replays confirmed what everybody in the press box, in the stands and on the A&M; sideline suspected--that Burger was beyond the line of scrimmage when he passed.
