LEXINGTON, Ky. — An attorney for Tito Horford said Monday night that the 7-1 Dominican Republic native will be coming to the University of Kentucky to play basketball, a newspaper reported Tuesday.
“I talked to him this evening, and presently that’s what his plans are,” Pat Ellis told The Lexington Herald-Leader. “He will enroll at Kentucky as early as tomorrow.”
Kentucky Coach Eddie Sutton confirmed that he spoke with Ellis on Monday and had been informed of Horford’s wishes.
“That will be good news if he’s eligible,” Sutton said.
Sutton declined to comment further, saying he and his staff would be checking into Horford’s eligibility today.
